AUDITION CALL / CASTING FOR ACTRESSES Physical Theatre, Masked Performance & General Creations Theatre Transformations Company (Chambéry, Savoie)

Mission title: Recruitment of 2 to 3 actresses / performers to join a rotating team for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 seasons.

🎭 About the company and projects

Based in Chambéry for over 30 years, the Compagnie Theatre Transformations creates and disseminates a contemporary, physical and visual mask theatre, combining stage performance, eco-citizen artistic creation and social mediation in France and Europe.

The recruited artists will join a versatile cast to participate in several major productions from the repertoire:

• The Bag Ladies Project : Street theatre, masked poetic strolls, blending silent movement, humour and eco-designed installations (yarn bombing).
• The World of Masks / Visu elles Festival: Masked theatrical performances, immersive experiences and mediation (“actor-curators”) for the major exhibition in Chambéry.
• Touring shows (young audiences & general audiences): Autonomous and lightweight forms disseminated in regional and national networks (schools, theatres, cultural spaces and festivals).
  

📌 Desired profiles

We are looking for 2 to 3 actresses / performance artists with a strong affinity for physical and visual theatre:

• Training & Practice: Solid mastery of physical theatre, mime, clowning or body work (pedagogy of the Jacques Lecoq type or equivalent).
• The Art of the Mask: Experience or great ease in playing with expressive masks (half-masks and full masks).
• Versatility of play: The pleasure of playing indoors, in public spaces (street theatre) and in front of diverse audiences (school children, families, audiences far removed from culture).
• Autonomy & Team Spirit : Ability to manipulate autonomous stage elements and interest in textile/mask co-creation.
• Logistics : Driving licence B strongly preferred (tour travel from Chambéry).
• One more thing: Basic knowledge of English or bilingual fluency (French/English).
  

📅 Calendar & Network

• Transmission period & rehearsals: November 2026 then sessions in the first quarter of 2027 in Chambéry.
  
• Playing periods: December 2026 to June 2027 and 2027–2028 season (school performances, street tours, territorial events and festivals).
  

💶 Remuneration & Legal Framework

• Engagement under a fixed-term contract of use (Intermittent work in the entertainment industry).
  
  • Fee-based remuneration according to the collective agreement (minimums increased on August 1, 2026: single performance fee of €162.75 gross minimum (€141.63 flat-rate daily fee — more than 2 fees in the month) + rehearsals (Rehearsal service €61.05 gross).
